Having chosen our location and network connectivity carefully when launching nitrohosting.net, we have since undertaken significant growth and created our own fully redundant network infrastructure focusing on the same goals of quality and consistency.

We take great pride in choosing only transit providers who not only maintain an impressive uptime record but also operate their own completely redundant networks and combine both world class Tier 1 IP transit with individual peering agreements with all major UK ISP's to guarantee their network (and hence ours) will be available 24/7 and consistently performing to our expectations.

This quality is also evident by the fact that several game server providers, including our own brand, operate on the same network, a business which demands the lowest latency and fastest routes.

Network Configuration

All traffic is routed by the industry standard BGP4 protocol to ensure optimum speed and packet delivery. If one route fails, BGP will automatically switch to the next fastest route to ensure little or no downtime for your site.

We maintain multiple high-spec Zebra based routers in a live-failover configuration so that if one should fail, another will assume the role of 'master' within 1 second.

We keep hot spare switches so that if we experience a switch outage the customer cables can be immediately moved into the spare switch, keeping downtime to a minimum.
